FRIENDS BRIGADE VISITS MOUNTAIN SCHOOL

We are the only visitors this poor mountain school ever has, and each year the brigade brings food for the kids and a lot of school supplies for the teacher, including curriculum books, paper, pencils, etc. Here is part of what the teacher’s message for us says: “Thank you very much for leaving your country and taking the time to visit us – Thank you and God bless you.”

These rural mountain schools get virtually no support from the Government of Honduras with respect to school supplies or training for the teachers. Several of our brigades, including Grace United, visit several rural mountain schools every year to bring support to the teachers and the children. We will have to do a more detailed report on these schools and visits in the future, because your donations are having an enormous impact on these children and teachers.
