Dan Durst along with board members, Anne Morawetz and Don Bocking will be travelling to Honduras. Five of the twelve going are first time brigaders.
Plans include a Christmas party (with fried chicken, a favourite) for the children at Nuevo, helping out with ESL classes, visiting a remote rural school, taking food and supplies.
We were asked to bring with us enough black school shoes for all the kids at the Children’s Village. We needed about 125 pairs of shoes. Thanks to generous donations from the Fowlers Corners and District Lions Club, along with Value Village and the Salvation Army Thrift Shop, we were able to collect and pay for all the shoes required. The generosity of our local organizations and retailers is amazing! Thanks to everyone who donated shoes, sandals and other items for the children.
